Salon De Beauté

Hello everyone!

Thank you for coming back to read my newest adventure!

For those of you who follow me on Instagram, you recently saw my experience at Salon de Beauté. For those of you who don't --- I advise you to do so now @krystlecarrissa ! I try to post as much as I can & I love to post reviews & quotes! It helps motivates me in a way, so I hope it does the same for you!

Anywho,

S A L O N D E B E A U T É

Is a new salon specializing in eyelash extensions. They are located at 160 Broadway Unit 1100, New York, NY. Conveniently close to both the A & C trains, which makes the location perfect! (Except for when I got on an uptown train going home... only me!!!)

I had my first consultation with Salon De Beauté on Wednesday, July 11th. It was set for 7:00 pm but I did arrive about 45 minutes early. When they let me know I could be seen at an earlier time, I was thrilled, I had a loooooong 9-5 day! Before I could step foot into the salon, I was greeted with the warmest welcome, ever! Customer service is my #1 concern anywhere I go. I look for people who genuinely enjoy doing what they do because without a passion for U S, the clients - a job cannot be well done.

The salon is set up in a calm, relaxing environment. Decòr is top notch and like I said - service could not have been better. I was offered water, given a ton of compliments & they wasted no time in discussing what eyelash set best suits me.

My consultation lasted about 10 minutes. We discussed what I prefer, how many lashes I normally use, what kind of look I like going for, we even pulled up some IG photos to see what would best suit my eyes, lol! Another concern of mine is how lashes will be applicated. Hypo allergenic glue is used for all sets, making it great for non irritation.

Salon De Beauté offers a range of natural, sexy, doll & dramatic looks while using either silk or mink lashes.

We decided on a natural look for me using a Silk set. It was my first time trying silk lashes - I am currently on day 5 & absolutely LOVE them. We went with 115 lashes per eye, keeping my natural length of 12 & 13, while also going with a JC curl - which gives a volume of 0.18.

Now, the good stuff!

Daniel was my lash technician & all I have to say about him is, he is a master creating masterpieces! I was asked to lay on the bed, got to take my shoes off, I even had a blanket to cover with - I usually never do this but... it was nap time for me!

What I enjoyed most about Daniel's service was the feel of his technique. Getting your lashes done means absolutely no sight for a good hour and some. You never know what is going on when your eyes are closed, what the salon may really be using & so on - but Daniel... He had this way of making me feel like my lashes were about to be SLAYED. I could literally feel his hand technique & how precise each individual lash needed to be. Not once did he rush, nor was he rough on the eyes at any point during my service.

My service took about an hour and 15 minutes & when I was handed that mirror, I was truly blown away. I experienced no discomfort the minute I opened my eyes. They didn't feel stuck, heavy or irritated, I felt like a million bucks!

I was thrilled, the staff was thrilled & all I kept thinking to myself was how excited I was to share this location with you all!

S A L O N D E B E A U T É is offering a promo service for the month of July. As a grand opening gesture, A L L sets are 50% off. If I were you - I would take complete advantage of this deal!

I am on day 5 since I got my set down & I have yet to deal with any discomfort and surprisingly - none has fallen out yet!

Before I go on - aftercare is a big concern for a lot of you ladies - including myself.

I remember being so scared to get my lashes done, could I wear makeup? How will I wash my face? Will I pull all my real ones out?!

Aftercare is actually simple. Once you get your set done, I advise not showering (the steam from the shower can actually make the glue weak causing fall out sooner than expected. Stay away from oil based products around the eye, be gentle & work around them as much as you can - but don't be afraid to touch or blend that eyeshadow in! When results are as good as Salon De Beauté, there is no reason to think you will rip your lashes out, LOL!

(Fun fact -- I got home after that horrible mishap on the train & I actually fell asleep, right on my face... I woke up in a panic thinking I completely ruined the set, come to find out not one moved out of place!) I ALSO advise don't be as irresponsible as me..... sleep on your back.. at least for the first night, lol.

(My service was complimentary - but my review is 100% my own opinion. I will never encourage a service or company that did not make me feel good enough to share with you all.)

I can not thank Salon De Beauté enough!

One day after getting my set!

Thank you guys for reading, if you have any questions, comment down below! & if you decide to book a consultation - let me know! I love to hear about your experiences!
