#DIY TURMERIC + LEMON FACE MASK

TURMERIC + LEMON FACE MASK 🍋

Say whaaaat?

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy as best I can & there is no better time than now to lather that scalp of yours with as many oil treatments you can and try every #DIY face mask out there, one that may even turn you into Marge Simpson….. 🥴🥴🥴

Okay, before I scare you away - I am totally kidding!

If it’s one thing I complain about most when it comes to my skin, it is my hyper-pigmentation. For those who may not know, Hyperpigmentation is a common, usually harmless condition in which bothered and/or cut skin becomes darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. Any break-out, cut, bruise, scar - you name it, will leave a ‘dark spot’ most of us feel extremely insecure about. Don’t worry, I’ve been there, I am still there, we all experience it. I sometimes can not even risk touching a pimple because I’ll wake up like someone knocked me the feek out🥴.

I decided to try out an at-home #DIY face mask using Turmeric, Honey & fresh 🍋 juice!

I decided on this mix specifically to combat my pigmentation and some acne flare-ups I’ve been experiencing since sitting at home & having my snack cabinet talk to me every 15 minutes.........🥴😩👇🏼

This is by far the simplest mix of natural ingredients, but you can also try it with:

Milk 🥛

Yogurt 🥣

Olive oil & so much more!

Turmeric is our skins magic elixir 👉🏼 targeting acne, skin inflammation, hyper-pigmentation, wrinkles & even eczema, turmeric is packed with so many powerful antioxidants to help target a variety of different skin concerns. 👇🏼

🍋 juice is great for brightening the skin! Rich in Vitamin C + citric acid, it can help lighten discoloration of the skin over time 👉🏼 be sure to always wear SPF, even now that we are quarantined inside! 🌤 is always shining through our windows, even when we least expect it!

RAW 🍯 helps to balance bacteria on your skin while speeding up your skin’s cell healing process. It’s also a great combat to reduce inflammation, which I suffer from especially when I eat gluten! 👇🏼

I made a mask portioned for two+ people, but you can mix + add to your liking!

HERE IS WHAT I USED:

  • 2 1/2 tablespoons Turmeric powder

  • 2 tablespoons fresh 🍋 juice. (I used half a lemon)

  • One tablespoon RAW 🍯

mix with 💦 until it creates a thick paste.

APPLY & LEAVE ON FOR NO MORE THAN 10MIN & USE 1x A WEEK!

You can also save any remainder in the fridge & use as an acne spot treatment!

🍋🍯😋❤️

It is not the most appealing mask to sight or smell - but trust me, it works wonders!

For some who don’t know, turmeric can leave a very yellowish stain to the skin, hence Marge Simpson, lol - but once washed off in the shower with soap+water, it should remove it completely!

Some other ways I have read to remove any staining are with, milk, olive oil or your regular toner+cotton ball!

Anyone willing to try this out?
